Shana’s original art on wood requires the surface of the wood to be treated with a light-resistant and non-aging primer that allows the wood surface to absorb watercolors like a fine paper. The wood panel comes cradled therefore eliminating the need for framing altogether.

Some of Shana’s paintings on wood feature gold & silver inks. These particular inks are formulated from a series of soluble dyes in a superior shellac solution, have a brilliance of color, and have been used by calligraphers, illustrators, and artists since their introduction in the 1890’s.
